Dr. Ayodele Thomas, Ph.D.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Ayodele Thomas (she/her) has partnered with higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations to drive transformational change and inclusive operational excellence. She combines deep expertise in change management, data analytics, strategic technology implementation, and inclusion to help leaders navigate complexity and achieve measurable, sustainable results.

Dr. Thomas brings clarity to complexity. She excels at aligning diverse stakeholders around shared vision, building collaborative frameworks that bridge silos, and fostering cultures of inclusion, innovation and accountability. Known for her adaptive leadership style and commitment to inclusion, she helps organizations and individuals not only navigate change but emerge stronger and more resilient.

As Associate Vice Provost and Associate Vice President at Stanford University, Dr. Thomas designed and led enterprise-wide frameworks serving 16,000+ staff across 25+ units. Over two-decades, she managed multi-million-dollar budgets, spearheaded technology solutions that eliminated administrative redundancies, and built scalable systems that enhanced both performance and engagement. Her work consistently translated executive vision into actionable strategies that delivered institution-wide impact.

Dr. Thomas has also served more than a decade in nonprofit leadership as an executive director and board officer, providing strategic direction for a youth STEM initiative. In this role, she oversaw comprehensive operations spanning human resources, financial management, compliance, risk management, grant writing, donor stewardship, stakeholder engagement, curriculum development, and facilities management. She strengthened program infrastructure through advanced technology integration, including the development of a sophisticated longitudinal tracking database that enabled data-driven decision-making and demonstrated measurable community impact. This cross-sector experience gives her unique insight into the operational challenges and opportunities facing mission-driven organizations and teams.

Dr. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Computer Architecture) from Stanford University and is a Prosci® Certified Change Management Practitioner. She resides in Santa Clara, California.
